He was born in 1974 in Ardeşen, Rize. After completing his primary and secondary education in there, Aslışen graduated from Pamukkale University, Faculty of Education, Department of Painting and Teaching in 1998.
Şükrü Aslışen, in his works, keeps the relationship between human and environment in the second plan and emphasises merely human loneliness. He creates all these expressions on canvas, decote, duralite, paper by using spare materials beside to painting dyes. In addition, the artist explains why he blends the theme of loneliness observed in his works with portraits as follows; "Since the thing that harms me is the human being, and since the most effective organ of expression in human beings is the face, I work mainly with portraits. In my paintings, I deal with people who have been treated unfairly, whose rights have been violated, and who have been subjected to unequal pressures and persecutions."
The artist continues his master's degree at Pamukkale University, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Painting and Teaching while continuing his art projects in his own studio and creating successful artworks.
