Born in 1992 in Istanbul, the artist lives in Istanbul. She graduated from Istanbul
Gedik University, Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts, Department of Visual
Communication Design with the project of bringing awareness to historical buildings.
Immediately after graduation, she received Pedagogical Formation training at
Marmara University and then worked as a Visual Arts Teacher in a private school.
She gained experience as a school principal. Sevgi Atamış, whose works continue to
be exhibited at Galata House affiliated to the Ministry of Tourism, has been giving
voluntary painting lessons to children with down syndrome since 2022.
The artist, who is also engaged in decorative artistic wall painting, continues to do
projects on cultural heritage, art and volunteer work. Provides design services and
concept consultancy.
