The 1979-born artist is a graduate of St. George’s Austrian High School. After
completing his studies on Interior Design at Academy İstanbul in 2002, he dove into
the world of art with his mosaic works in the Erte Workshop. Since 2004, with the
inspiration he derived from Turkish shadow plays he has been enriching his art range
from watercolor to print techniques. He continues to popularize the symbolic value of
Turkish shadow plays by introducing his works to enthusiastic art lovers.
Under the roof of Ayşen Erte’s (his mother) ‘’gravüResim’’ workshop, he attended 5
mixed exhibitions, 3 joint exhibitions with Ayşen Erte and 5 solo exhibitions specific to
his work.
He joined the “Bir Grup İnsan” community while attending the first grand exhibition at
Maltepe Türkan Saylan Cultural Center. He participates in international ex-libris and
miniprint biennials.
Besides his engraving artworks, he continues working on his stained glass, mosaic
and glass fusion projects upon commission with his family by his side. There are also
mosaic works of his in exclusive locations such as Yeşilköy Kalangos House, Merit
Royal’s foyer in Girne and Suzan Sabancı’s restoration of Ayışığı Monastery in
Ayvalık.
