He was born in 1979 in Niğde. The emotions he felt in the face of the beauty of
nature during a walk with his mother was the beginning of his painting adventure. On
the other hand, his dedication to painting as a result of the slap after he was accused
of cheating because he could not convince his teacher that the painting he did as
homework in primary school was his own, earned him the first place in the painting
department of Nevşehir University Hacı Bektaşi Veli Faculty of Fine Arts talent exam.
Embracing Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar's words “The true artist who escapes from the
ordinary knows that the realization of life and events can only be granted to those
who think about the human soul and try to understand and determine it” as a
principle, the painter tries to transform emotions, longing and natural beauties into
colors on canvas in an effort to see the nature in his vision.
Bekir Üstün, who also draws attention with his Anatolian works, continues to work in
his studio in Istanbul. The artist, who participated in many group exhibitions, has
works in state and private collections.
